Plagiarism Policy

International Journal of Community Service (IJOCS) maintains the highest standards of academic integrity. Plagiarism, in any form, is strictly prohibited and is considered a serious ethical violation.

Similarity Threshold: Maximum 20%

Every manuscript submitted to IJOCS will be screened for plagiarism using Turnitin or iThenticate during the initial desk review and before final publication. The maximum allowed similarity index is 20%.

Forms of Plagiarism:

Manuscripts will be rejected or withdrawn if they contain:

  • Direct copying of sentences or paragraphs from other sources without proper citation.
  • Self-plagiarism (recycling your own previously published work without disclosure).
  • Inadequate paraphrasing that retains the original structure of another's work.
  • Falsifying or fabricating data/results.

If plagiarism is detected after publication, the journal reserves the right to issue a formal retraction in accordance with COPE guidelines.
